What’s In Your “Bubble Bath”?

Team Passion

Suds. I remembered enjoying them as a kid, popping them as they are being released through a bubble-blowing pipe! Suds were playmates and yet could actually be real toxic. That frothy thing that lathers up your soap, shampoo, detergent, toothpaste and other personal care stuffs you put on your skin can actually be the cause of health problems.

I like this advocacy posted by Human Heart Nature:

CHEMICAL PRODUCTS: Save Now, Get Sick Later!

Cheap chemical products may cause health problems in the future that are costly to cure (allergies, respiratory problems, cysts, cancer).

Found in hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial soaps, triclosan is the most common anti-bacterial chemical. It has actually been found to cause endocrinal and reproductive malfunctions. Overuse of this hormone-disrupting ingredient can result in strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. It’s also found in toothpastes, soaps and hand sanitizers.

My Sweet Tooth..and its Toxicity!

Team Passion

I have known for quite sometime the toxicty mercury fillings create in the body. I still got my amalgam fillings in my 4 teeth which I am committed to replace it with bio-composite materials real soon! What a great reminder that I just came across some good reads today educating me that it wasn’t just a procedure of simply having it removed. I was about to go to a conventional dentist this month and good thing, I haven’t done that yet (some advantages of my “procrastination” or I could have given my self more risk in the procedure of removing it!!!!

Get more info here. My next question now is, where do I find a holistic dentist practicing biological dentistry here in the Philippines? I am blessed to recall that my dad referred me to a holistic dentist a year back and I even have some painful tooth problems…

Morning Food for the Soul

It doesn’t matter what others may say, have said or will say… BUT I think you’re beautiful…just the way you are. So don’t pound your face with tons of make up to cover the marks, the scars, or whatever imperfection you don’t like about yourself. My God makes no mistakes and if He wanted you to be taller..He would have made you taller. If He wanted you to be short… He would have made you short. If He wanted you to wear makeup and hide your freckles, He would have left them out. But He made you just for His likeness….

So embrace your beauty. Embrace your uniqueness. Embrace your weirdness. Every bit of thickness or skinniness of your body…love it. You are special to God and before He formed you, He knew you.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s…

1 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of baking soda
4 cups of warm water
Blender or coffee grinder
Large bowl

Pour the oatmeal into the blender or coffee grinder and blend the oatmeal until it turns into a fine-powder like substance.
Pour the rest of the ingredients into a large bowl.
Mix the grinded oatmeal into the rest of the ingredients slowly at a time until it is mixed all the way through.
Apply the mixture once your pet’s coat is thoroughly wet and rub it in. Leave on for about 5 minutes before rinsing clean.

Sugary Drinks and Counting Your Calories

Team Passion

You may be a person into counting calories and chances are you might even be considering to include the calories from your sugary drinks.

Check out this recent information as shared by Natural News.

A study that appeared in The New England Journal of Medicine in October of 2012 looked at Imagethe link between drinking sugar sweetened beverages and the genetic risk of obesity to determine if there is an interaction between the two which increases the risk of weight gain.

The researchers evaluated data from studies which included over 30,000 Americans and created a score to measure genetic tendency towards obesity. They then compared the Body Mass Index (BMI) for people with the same genetic tendency who drank differing amounts of these beverages. The results showed that drinking sugar sweetened beverages magnified an individual’s predisposition towards weight gain, and that the effect was more pronounced the more they…
